"The GB Spitfire is inspired by one of Leo Fender's finest creations. Whilst it acknowledges those traditional and familiar contours, the Spitfire boasts modern performance and playability. Evolution of this design over numerous years has led to the birth of the GB Spitfire. I like to think that Leo Fender would approve." - Bernie Goodfellow
A comfortable, perfectly balanced, traditional styled jazz bass with a two octave bolt on neck that utilises the hi-tech, hi-fi GB bass processor (preamp).
The playability and balance indigenous to GB guitars has taken "Classic Design" many steps further. In this range the body design has been contoured and modified, resulting in a sleeker appearance. The Swamp Ash or Alder body can be finished in a colour of your choice. If you prefer natural wood grain, you can select from stunning book-matched facings in flame or quilted Maple, Thuya or Black American Walnut book-matched facings. The neck is flame, figured or birdseye Maple with a flame or birdseye Maple or Rosewood fingerboard. The finishes speak for themselves.
The bolt-on neck system is an original design by Bernie Goodfellow, which uses threaded inserts and case hardened hex-bolts with flush fitting brass washers and has become an industry standard...
